Technical Complications in Implant Dentistry for the Completely Edentulous Patient
Addressing the challenges of restoring the completely edentulous arch with implants requires a thorough understanding of potential technical pitfalls. This presentation will provide practical insights into mitigating and resolving complications to ensure long-term implant success based on the experiences learned from treating over 5500 arches in a controlled clinical setting where the same oral surgeon and prosthodontist where diagnosing, treatment planing and treating their patient cohort. Technical complications reviewed include denture tooth wear, denture tooth chipping, denture tooth fracture, resin veneer fracture, titanium framework fracture and zirconia structure fracture.
