Mechanical Complications in Implant Dentistry for the Completely Edentulous Patient
Addressing the challenges of restoring the completely edentulous arch with implants requires a thorough understanding of potential technical pitfalls. This presentation will provide practical insights into mitigating and resolving complications to ensure long-term implant success based on the experiences learned from treating over 5500 arches in a controlled clinical setting where the same oral surgeon and prosthodontist where diagnosing, treatment planing and treating their patient cohort. Mechanical complications reviewed include prosthetic screw loosening, fracture and wear and abutment screw loosening and fracture.
